Due to higher levels of tar content in third world countries, people who smoke in third world countries are more vulnerable to diseases. Poorer nations also lack the inclusion of filters that richer nations have, however the mortality rate does not show a significant decrease due to filters as many people, filter or no filter, die due to the main reason being their addiction and intake of tobacco.[3]
